We’re excited to share that Bristol City Council, together with North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Barnardo’s, is launching the very first Infant Feeding Celebration Week from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 November.
This special week celebrates everyone who supports families on their infant feeding journey – from health visitors and peer supporters to friends, family, and the wider community. Because as the theme says, “It Takes a Village!”
Join us for a celebration event
Choose from three celebration events taking place on Tuesday 25 November from 9.30-11.30am:

Teatro Lounge
Great Western Road, Clevedon, North Somerset, BS21 6HB
Barranco Lounge
Abbeywood Retail Park, Stoke Gifford, South Gloucestershire, BS34 7JL
These are lovely opportunities to:
- Meet other local families
- Chat with feeding support services
- Find out about groups and events in your area
- Enjoy a free hot drink with every cake order
Everyone is welcome, whatever stage you’re at in your feeding journey.
Say thank you to your village
We all have people who’ve helped us along the way. At the events, you can pick up a special thank you postcard for someone in your support village – whether that’s a friend who always makes time to listen, a family member, or your local baby group coordinator.
