Bristol City Council has a comprehensive guide to support and resources for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Bristol.
Their mission is to provide parents, carers, and professionals with accessible information and advice, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. From understanding SEND and choosing the right school, to navigating health care and preparing for adulthood, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Childcare & Funding For Children With SEND.
Bristol Parent Carers offer a range of free engagement sessions designed to support parents and carers of children with SEND. Two engagement sessions about childcare are running at the start of February and we are looking for parents and carers to share their experiences of childcare in the city for children with disabilities and additional needs (aged 0-18).
We would welcome feedback about both pre-school and early years childcare, as well as childcare for school-aged children, such as after-school clubs and holiday provision. We would also like to hear from those who have used or applied for support through Bristol City Council’s and BAND’s Access to Childcare Fund (if applicable).
We really need your support – your voice can help improve childcare and make these services more accessible for the parents and carers who really need them.
Details of the events are attached to this email and the Eventbrite links to book are here:
